Health ministry reviewed

I visited the health ministry today. Health Minister Anbumani Ramdoss told me that Japanese encephalitis, leptospirosis, dengue and some forms of diarrhea were curable by banning smoking in movies. Very impressive!

My unknown Birthday

I am not sure of the date of my birthday that the entire PMO staff celebrated today. Most of the western media have still not caught on to this while the Indian media is used to national leaders with unknown birthdates. Laloo does not even know how he was born never mind when!

Few of my favorite things

Tribune, actually The Tribune is my favorite newspaper. I just came to know about this while reading my speech. It is so difficult to remember my favorite things as a prime minister as they are dramatically opposite my favorite things as RBI Governor and Finance Minister.

Mangal Pandey was a freedom fighter according to Yash Chopraji. I will have to check this with Arjun Singh and Murli Manohar Joshi. Maybe, I will consult a few history experts too. Let’s see how this develops…

Amazing! Greg Chappell wrote a 6 page e-mail to BCCI. (http://in.rediff.com/cricket/2005/sep/23gang.htm ) He must have attached a NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) with an one line e-mail that said “Gangully sucks”

Does he have a secretary do all this typing and if yes is BCCI paying her to type this 6 page email? I will ask Dalmiya this question next time I see him.

I am visiting Ludhiana and Chandigarh, alone. Or is Rahul with me like he was in Afghanistan. I will have to check this with my private secretary

My secretary downloaded the latest version of firefox browser for me. That was kind of him. We have broadband access here at the PM’s residence. Soniaji has faster access at 10, Janpath but having faster access still does not make her the PM.

Bihar Election Notification

Called up Buta Singh and congratulated him on getting the election process in Bihar rolling. He is the Governor of Bihar. Lalu is also the Governor of Bihar. Paswan may or may not be the Governor of Bihar. Nitish is definitely not the Governor of Bihar. I will have to check with Soniaji as to who is the Governor of Bihar. It is so confusing.

Anyways, the first round of the four-phase election in Bihar will be very exciting. Television crews will now move away from Delhi and not bother Rahul or Priyanka. Thank God for this Bihar election.
