Quality of Football

I inaugurated the 11th edition of the National Football League. I declared to the walls of the Ambedkar stadium "We need to raise its (Indian Football) standards to the international level". The walls echoed back.

"During my visit to Brazil I have raised the issue of their help to Indian football and hopefully we will get it soon," I told the walls. The stadium responded very well to this. We should be soon expecting Brazilian fans to be in India. Football coaches are not very essential to improve the standard.

The standard of sports in any nation is determined by the quality of fans. Please remember!
