Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo

Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo is the Prime Minister of Nokia. I met him. Really. With BJP working hard to takeover the media, I was compelled to return to the blog. I looked up Google news to find out what I was doing. And boy I was meeting Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo!

Also, Narendrabhai has been chosen as The Asian Winner of the fDi Personality of the Year awards for 2009 by fDi Magazine. These awards recognize the political and business leaders around the world who have been the most proactive, dynamic and innovative in securing foreign investment and improving the business environments of their jurisdictions. Wow. Was I considered for this?

As far as I know, today the Indian business process outsourcing industry is the most upcoming and the mushrooming industry attracting all educated youth all over the country. Finding the right kind of leading and converting them into sales will boost your BPO business.

The BPO in India face an enormous challenge in reducing attrition rate and this being a nascent industry needs to draw parallels. Before we proceed its important to understand the underlying reasons for high attrition rates, which are pretty steep and are around 40-50%. Currently it is about 35% in non-voice and 45% in voice call centers. About 80% of them look for better careers within the same industry.
